We like to keep things simple when it comes to paying for your order. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how payments work at Gander Marks — from the methods we accept to how we keep your information safe.

How You Can Pay

We accept the following payment methods through our secure checkout:

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover (processed through Stripe). PayPal — if you prefer to check out with your PayPal balance or a linked card, that works too.

All payments are processed in United States Dollars (USD). If your card or PayPal account uses a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply a conversion rate and a small foreign transaction fee. That’s handled on their end, not ours.

When You’re Charged

Your payment is processed at the time you place your order. We won’t ship anything until the payment goes through successfully. If the payment is declined or fails for any reason, the order won’t be confirmed and you’ll need to try again or use a different payment method.

Order Confirmation

Once your payment is complete, you’ll receive an order confirmation email with your order number and a summary of what you purchased. If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder. Still can’t find it? Drop us an email and we’ll sort it out.

Pricing

All prices on our website are listed in USD and include the product price only. Shipping fees and any applicable taxes are calculated and displayed at checkout before you finalize your purchase — no surprises at the end. For details on shipping costs, take a look at our Shipping Policy.

We do our best to keep pricing accurate, but we reserve the right to correct any pricing errors. If an error affects your order, we’ll reach out to you before processing it.

Secure Checkout

We take payment security seriously. Our store uses SSL encryption to protect your data during every transaction. All credit and debit card payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment gateway trusted by millions of businesses worldwide.

Here’s the important part — we never store your full credit card number, CVV, or sensitive payment details on our servers. That information goes directly to Stripe and PayPal, and they handle it under their own strict security standards.

Pre-Authorization Holds

In some cases, your bank or card provider may place a temporary hold (also called a pre-authorization) on your account when you place an order. This is not an actual charge — it’s your bank verifying that the funds are available. If the order doesn’t go through for any reason, the hold will be released by your bank, usually within 3 to 5 business days. We have no control over how quickly your bank removes these holds.

Canceled or Failed Orders

If your order is canceled — whether by you (within our cancellation window) or by us due to stock issues or a payment problem — any charge will be fully refunded to your original payment method. Refund processing times are outlined in our Refund and Returns Policy.

If a payment fails at checkout, your card will not be charged. However, a temporary hold may appear on your statement. This will drop off on its own within a few business days.

Promotions and Discount Codes

If you have a promo code or discount, enter it at checkout in the designated field. Only one discount code can be applied per order. Discount codes cannot be combined with other offers unless specifically stated. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue promotions at any time without prior notice.

Billing Address

The billing address you enter at checkout must match the address on file with your card issuer or PayPal account. Orders with mismatched billing information may be delayed or declined as part of our fraud prevention measures.

Fraud Prevention

We want to keep things safe for everyone, so we do screen orders for potential fraud. If something looks off, we may:

Chargebacks

If there’s an issue with your order or a charge you don’t recognize, please contact us first at contact@gandermarks.com before filing a chargeback with your bank. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support team. Unauthorized chargebacks will be disputed.
