Gander Marks is a small apparel brand based out of San Francisco, California. We design and sell custom-printed t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts — all made to order, one piece at a time.
How We Got Started
There’s no grand origin story here. No “we started in a garage and now we’re a billion-dollar company” kind of thing. We just really liked the idea of building something from scratch — creating designs we actually care about, putting them on quality apparel, and getting them into the hands of people who appreciate them.
So that’s what we did. We set up shop, found great production partners, and started selling. Simple as that.
How It Works
We use a print-on-demand model. That means we don’t sit on piles of inventory in a warehouse somewhere. When you place an order, your item gets printed, quality-checked, and shipped — all made specifically for you.
It takes a little longer than ordering from a big retailer with stuff already sitting on shelves, but there’s a reason we do it this way. Less waste, more intention behind every piece, and you get something that was literally made because you wanted it.
What We Care About
We’re not going to pretend we’re out here changing the world. We sell clothes. But within that, we do try to do things right:
We’re honest about what we sell. The product photos are as accurate as we can make them, our sizing follows U.S. standards, and if something goes wrong with your order, we’ll fix it — no runaround.
We’re upfront about timelines. Print-on-demand means your order takes 9 to 14 business days to arrive. We’d rather tell you that honestly than promise something we can’t deliver.
We keep things simple. Our policies are written in plain language. Our pricing is straightforward. If you have a question, you email us and a real person gets back to you — usually within a day.
Who’s Behind This
We’re a small team. Not a faceless corporation, not a giant operation with hundreds of employees. Just a handful of people who handle everything from product design to customer support.
That means we’re not perfect — sometimes things take a little longer than we’d like, and we’re always learning and improving. But it also means we actually care when something goes wrong, because our reputation is everything to us at this stage.
